Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules.

In the winter of 1895 in Holyoke, Massachusetts (United States), William G. Morgan, a YMCA physical education director, created a new game called Mintonette, a name derived from the game of badminton, as a pastime to be played (preferably) indoors and by any number of players. The first rules, written down by William G Morgan, called for a net 6 ft 6 in (1.98 m) high, a 25 ft × 50 ft (7.6 m × 15.2 m) court, and any number of players. A match was composed of nine innings with three serves for each team in each inning, and no limit to the number of ball contacts for each team before sending the ball to the opponent's court. In case of a serving error, a second try was allowed. Hitting the ball into the net was considered a foul (with loss of the point or a side-out)—except in the case of the first-try serve.

A volleyball court is 9 m × 18 m (29.5 ft × 59.1 ft), divided into equal square halves by a net with a width of one meter (39.4 in).[15] The top of the net is 2.43 m (7 ft 11 11⁄16 in) above the center of the court for men's competition, and 2.24 m (7 ft 4 3⁄16 in) for women's competition, varied for veterans and junior competitions.

The Volleyball net is the main part of the court which divides the two teams apart allowing them to score using their skills. The net has to withstand the playful spirit with which the ball is hit hard. Without any wear and tear, the net has to absorb the force of the ball coming from either side. In order to fulfill the needs of this sport, Garware Technical Fibres Ltd. came forward with their high-quality volleyball nets. These nets have a square mesh pattern with same overall regulation size. The nets are made in accordance with International Standards.

The headband on the top lining is made with durable PVC coated fabric. The side and the bottom lining is also made with coated PVC with an overlock stitching holding the lining. The steel wire rope is also PVC coated which makes the frame holding the net altogether. The net is held with either crimping it with the pole or using ‘U’ clamps with HDPE braided tie cords.

The nets are manufactured for both International as well as Indian markets. The demand in the International market is fulfilled by nets that come in varied options like Knotless, Braided and Twisted twine types. The twine size ranges from 2-4 mm in size each with 9.5 meters in length and 1 meter in height. The net can also be manufactured as per the requirement from the customer.

Garware Technical Fibres strive to provide top class products to its customers because customer satisfaction is what works as fuel to drive this vast organization.
